Lovely little retreat!

The staff is amazing and the place is relatively good value for the money. Lovely grounds and pool. Restaurant food was good and healthy options available.

Great stay. As other travellers mention the beds are rock hard. Also we had to ask for a blanket. They are availible if you ask. Pool is nice and location is great in the center. Stayed in superior room with balcony.

This was an absolutely stunning little boutique hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Tons to do in walking distance but I did drive. There is parking at the hotel but it’s a little tight so I just parked on the street. I didn’t know ahead of time that the hotel also had a private lagoon club. You can order food and drinks there that they will send down from the restaurant. This was definitely helpful when all of the other lagoon clubs were super packed on the weekends.

Poza Clara is good value for the price (especially as hotels are getting more expensive in Bacalar). We stayed in the junior suite. The room looked better in photographs, but it was OK. Good AC, and surprisingly quiet for a room that faced the street. The bed was very hard. I like a firm mattress, but this bed was so firm it was uncomfortable. A mattress topper would make a big difference in quality of sleep. The kitchenette had the basics. There is no dining or sitting area inside the suite, so it’s basically a regular hotel room with a sink, fridge, and 2 burner cook top. The location is great. Close to the park and lots of restaurants, shops, etc.

Great people, location and amenities!

The service was very good and the people there were kind, appreciative for our visit and very helpful to us. To pool is very cute and while we did not use it, the people that did seemed to enjoy it. The location is ideal... just a couple blocks away from the main square - close to walk, far enough that you didn't hear all of the noise. Lots of restaurants and bars very close, making it a fun time for us. The only problem was that the bed is very hard and uncomfortable - even getting a mattress topper for extra padding would have made this much more enjoyable. Otherwise, good prices, great service and a wonderful trip.

The Poza Clara staff were amazing and helpful. I advised the hotel it was a bday gift for my wife, and they made a beautiful floral arrangement on the bedding. Thank you! The associated restaurant was not so good. Food was overcooked and server had a poor attitude. Better to go next door to Ixchel food.

I liked the location of this hotel. It’s in a quiet area, but only three blocks to the center square. They have a beach club with kayaks included and an on site restaurant. The only thing I didn’t like were the rock hard beds. It made getting a good night sleep very difficult.

Todo bien

Buen hotel , buena ubicación, la comida de su restaurante buena . El wifi nunca sirvió a pesar de que nos dieron 2 redes. La habitacion con balcon y hamaca vale la pena . El club de playa bien aunque con el sol es tedioso llegar a el ya que son 10 minutos caminando.

Es un hotel bellísimo, equipado, gente amable, cercano a la laguna a al centro (2 cuadras) tiene restaurantes cerca. Una cama super cómoda, un balcón muy bello y apacible, internet y TV muy funcionales. La próxima vez que vaya a Bacalar me volveré a hospedar ahí!!!

Todo excelente desde la atención y detalles de Perla hasta las instalaciones como la habitación que esta equipada con una cocineta básica y un bonito balcón con hamaca. Lo único que pondría en contra es que algo tenia el agua que tras bañarse los ojos se me enrojecían, como algún tipo de reacción alérgica, desconozco si sea del agua municipal o las tuberías del hotel. Asimismo otro punto en contra es el cobro de $300 para ingresar la hielera al club de playa, debería ser algo que como huésped ya se incluya para mayor disfrute de las instalaciones.
