All the staff are very friendly and there are lots of them so you're never left waiting or without someone to ask. The rooftop bar is a must visit and the experience with the blankets, heaters and hand warmer is memorable. About 30 mins walk from the main train station and we had our luggage transferred to our next location, no trouble. Would definitely return again if staying in Kyoto."

The room themselves could have been cleaner, the walls in the room have been dinged up by suitcases over time. The public bath is great. The location was alright, it's actually not as central to most of the hotspots in Kyoto but being close to Nijo Station which has a subway line and a JR line helped alot."

"Very happy with our stay here. We stayed in a room with a big private bath. The hotel and area are very quiet, a welcome sanctuary in busy Kyoto. There are several convenience stores nearby and bus stops which can take you to the main attractions. When we visited the restaurant was under construction, bento boxes were delivered to the room for breakfast. The hotel helped us ship our bags to our next stop in Osaka. "I loved this hotel. The staff were so friendly and courteous, they speak excellent english. The rooms were comfy and clean and the view from my room was amazing, we could see a shrine and the kannon from our window. The gym is perfect with a variety of free weight dumbells and smith machines. My only criticism is the laundry, there should be more machines - it was hard to secure one while at the hotel. If you stay at the hotel when others would be gone (during the day) it is easy though. I...
