My husband and I had the best time at Unico for my 40th birthday. The staff were so attentive - Erik was amazing and made sure we had dinner reservations each night. He even went above and beyond to coordinate an in-room surprise for my birthday. The French restaurant was incredible - highly recommend. The spa was so relaxing. The pools were lovely. Everything about this place was perfect. 10/10.

Stayed 3 nights for my birthday and this was by far the best customer service experience I’ve had while traveling. Rooms were clean, hotel staff were very attentive to our needs. My husband got sick in the middle of the night, needed a quick linen change and they were right on it. They gave us a courtesy call in the morning to check in to make sure he was ok and find out if he wanted to see the onsite doctor. The only thing I can say needed improvement was the drinks and the food at the Mexican restaurant. I wasn’t too thrilled with the selection. But, once again with good customer service, it was easily addressed. I would definitely choose Unico for future travel at any of their destinations.

Everything was amazing! No complaints! The swim up pool room was wonderful. Housekeeping came everyday to clean the room and came every night for turn down service. The staff on the entire property were so nice and accommodating. Our local host Josue checked in everyday to assist us with anything we needed like booking activities and dinner reservations. All of the food at the restaurants was very good! My husband and I enjoyed the couples massage at the spa as well!

Highly recommend if you're looking for an alternative to mega-resorts. Property size made it easy to navigate, especially if travelling with friends. Food options were all tasty, pool & room service reasonably speedy. Nice rooms. A couple notes for your booking consideration, if you're oceanfront but lower floor, your ocean view may be obstructed by trees. If you use resort credits for the spa, you only have access to the treatment not the facilities-- which was strange. There were lots of weddings, at least one for each day we were there. Also, a fair amount of corporate travellers. On the last day, people were running around in suits and lanyards-- usually the scene I'm trying to leave back home. Lastly, just a tip not an issue, prices in their bottle shop were 4-5x higher than at home prices, so if you want something specific bring it with you.

This was the nicest resort I’ve ever stayed at. It takes all inclusive to a new level of luxury. My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon and chose a room with a swim up balcony. 100% worth it. Having your own private place to take a dip was wonderful. And our room was constantly checked up on and refreshed. We enjoyed couples massage, which was also perfect. The spa experience was comprehensive and pampering in the best way. I utilized the gym, which has everything I needed and then some! Plenty of equipment and attentive staff. The food at the restaurants was also superb—special shout out to the Mexican restaurant, Cuavo Siete, and the Japanese restaurant. The all you can eat restaurants where also great, as was the variety of food you can find at quicker food options around the pools. The bars was also amazing—quick, strong pours, and a real variety of drinks. Lastly, our personal host, Luis Angel, was the cherry on top. He made our stay feel personal, and he booked everything for us—every dinner reservation and massage. He was there for us and gave us all the information we needed to have the most fun and relaxing time possible. I can’t say enough good things about this resort.

The only issue was the service, mostly in the restaurants and pool. It must be challengeful to train local people, it needs special attention.

Lets put it this way. This have been our second time to Cancun so obviously we are comparing to our first experience. Our first time was in a hotel named secrets akumal. Unico is a good hotel but smaller compared to our first hotel. Not a big issue. The hotel is new and looks good. Everything is available and staff is nice. What myself and my wife didn’t like: 1-The food wasn’t as delicious as expected. Specially lunch!! 2- They have this program called Legendary where members have their own places in the hotel which is not a big deal. Just as an advice dont get fooled into the offers of listening to the one hour lecture for whatever promotions they will offer. It is not 1 hour!! Its more and they are very persistent when you keep saying it doesn’t fit you, incase that was the case. 3-Part of the beach is rocky but that isnt a big issue but just an FYI.
