"Easy quick check-in, room nice and clean, very comfortable bed, glad a fan was provided as the night was extremely humid. Great breakfast and good time availability, nice to have the 7am option. Perfect location for our needs, Oulton Park Racing circuit and Chester Zoo. Car park has barrier so car feels secure. Nice countryside location. Will book again should I venture to Cheshire again."
"We loved our stay at the Ancient Gatehouse. The room was lovely and looked out over the green in front of the Wells Cathedral. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the hotel has an excellent Italian restaurant, where we enjoyed a delicious dinner before walking around the lovely town of Wells. Americans should know it is not air conditioned, but air conditioning is rare in the UK and Europe. There is a fan and lovely large windows. We will definitely return."
"Loved our stay at here, staff were very welcoming and helpful and patient with our young Vizsla dog. Ideal set up for staying with a dog, with rooms located opposite site of the car park to the cosy pub. Food was excellent. Definitely would come and stay here again. "
