"Great Staff. Great food. Love the tea space where you can put your foot under the warm table. Even you can’t have your onsen, you can attend the workshop to make a beautiful photo frame with wood. "

"We're so glad we stayed here for our first Roykan experience. We booked a villa and had an indoor + outdoor private onsen to use when we needed. The staff were amazing, check in wad a breeze and all our meals were excellent. "

"The room was spectacular! And the setting was so serene (the lobby, restaurant, and onsen were all immaculate). The dining experiences (both breakfast and dinner) were also very special - definitely a once-in-a-lifetime experience with many new foods to try and impeccable service. My only (small) notes: there is no fitness center and no nearby running/walking/hiking (the property is located off a busy highway with no sidewalks), so if you are an active person, be prepared to do a lot of sitting around! We asked for trail recommendations but were told they didn't exist. We also found that the hotel staff, while very accommodating, were NOT knowledgeable about nearby activities, dining, etc. We really had to fend for ourselves in that regard. Perhaps it was the language barrier, but seemingly simple requests (like laundry service, or calling a taxi), they were not able to help us with. Also, note that the dining is private in individual dining rooms, but it is not IN your hotel room, if that's what you're looking for. All in all, I'd say this is an amazing retreat for 1 or 2 nights if you really just want to unplug and lay around in a beautiful space! "
