This is by far the best hotel experience we've had in Japan. The Japanese style room was large and well appointed, with thick foam futons. The tatami was clean and in good condition. We also enjoyed the fully stocked minibar.
Onsen facilities are clean and well managed. You can enjoy the sound of the nearby river as you bathe.
The standout feature however is the food. It was fantastic throughout our stay, but on our last night we were given an increible sashimi banquet and waigu steak!
Our servers Fifi-san and Yoko-san took very good care of us during our stay. Thank you for making it a wonderful experience. I would recommend Suimeisou to anybody looking for a Ryokan in Hakone.
Excellent Onsen experience, especially the bath in the balcony with hot spring water is great. Dinner and breakfast experience are also very nice and local.
the staff was wonderful, most of all the lady who served us souper and breakfast in our room
The place is very well located, minutes from the train station and all the transportatio
The rooms are very nice and is perfect is you want a Japanese experience (prepare to eat a lot)
Just step from Hakoneyumoto station. I love the Japanese style breakfast and dinner. It was delicious and they served in our room. The staffs are very friendly too.
This Ryokan is just wonderful.
The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, English was not a problem at all.
The private onsen was clean and ideal for a little break.
The breakfast and dinner menu were tasty and the lady gave all she got to explain every detail as good as possible.
The rooms are spacious and the staff organized everything on time and with a smile.
Although the Ryokan is close to the train station, it was not noticeable at all and quiet. There are plenty of small shops and restaurants/cafes nearby.
All in all, highly recommended
Located right next to the station. The staff were very friendly and offered to let us keep our luggage there before check-in. The traditional food was also excellent and plentiful
The staff nice, polite & professional. Food is good too. Only 5 minutes walk from Hakone Yumoto station.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
Very close from Hakone-Yumoto station. Within 5min walking distance from the station. Staffs are very kind and helpful, Spa was excellent, dinner and breakfast was prepared in my room - very impressive.
The hotel is conveniently locates closer to the railway station.Everything about the stay was good except for the food. If you don’t eat beef or raw fish then you are in trouble as most of the dishes were raw fish. Also food wasn’t flavorful.
