"Village House is a restful haven. The rooms are charming and comfortable. The shared spaces are welcoming. And the pool is heavenly. Warm, friendly staff can't do enough for you.
The location is a bit remote if you don't have a car. It's not too far from Sarawak Cultural Village, but you'll need a taxi/grab to eat anywhere else or explore the area. "

"Convenient location in the heart of the city. Within walking distance to the Kuching Waterfront and the usual tourist spots. Hotel staff are generally helpful and friendly. 1 receptionist who weren't so forthcoming with making recommendations, appears a bit clueless and lacking in initiative when I asked what is there to see within walking distance around the hotel. 1 restaurant staff also failed to inform me that an item on the menu was not available and did so only after I have waited nearly...
"The hotel is simple but decent, located pretty close to waterfront and most places of interest are in walkable range from here. You can find bars, restaurants (the is a good breakfast restaurant right behind and the famous Ceylonese Restaurant next to it), 7-eleven. The was a slight funky smell in the shower and this could be improved.
They also let us check in early which was nice bonus for us. "
"The hotel is newly renovated. Clean and comfortable. The front counter staff is friendly and bilingual speaking in English and Chinese. Room is small but clean. Hot water is good in bathroom. Breakfast is so so. The 5th fl door is using smart app(website) entrance with Bluetooth control. Safe and hi-tech.
2 lifts to upstairs.

"The hotel is new and doubles as a serviced apartment so the rooms are definitely spacious and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. Location was across from a shopping mall and the hotel's structure actually had a supermarket.
The major downside is the breakfast. One word: terrible. Watered down juice, small selection of dishes, and sub par quality. Just skip it. Also, the staff, while friendly, were not really efficient enough to handle a large volume of guests at once and forgot...
