"Everything was great except for the bed in our room. It was extremely uncomfortable. Other than that, everything including the staff was great!!"

"Grand, historic charm characterize the experience here. The hotel was built in 1893, so the building had its quirks, but these add to the distinctive atmosphere. Our room was very comfortable, clean and spacious. Again the building is quite old, and our suite did not have a thermostat nor an exhaust fan in the bathroom, but it was comfortable nonetheless, as the ceiling fan and open windows did the trick. "

"I had booked my room online. I NEED A COPY OF MY RECEIT, PLEASE) We had trouble finding, but the staff was extremely helpful, patient, and kind, also the person helping me find my booking. Also, the gentleman who helped me, went so far out of his way to make sure my needs were handled. Thank you, to him. I had to be to the hospital by 7 a.m. and he took an extra step in helping me. I wish i could remember his name, but i sure hope Doubltree by Hilton will honor this staff member.( i checked in around 6 p.m.on the 13th of October. He deserves to be recognized and a vacation-- paid weekend. He was an amazing staff member, and Doubletree by Hilton should be proud of having a staff member that can go so far out of the path in helping a stranger in need; and be a mentor to the other staff memebers. And re.ember that team work make your dream work. I ask that this staff member be recognized. He is an amazing employee --you should be proud to have him on your staff. Thank you again. "

"3 night stay was wonderful. Enjoyed the fresh omelette bar at breakfast. Comfortable spacious clean, quiet room. "

"We stayed one night for an event downtown and I didn't want to spend several hundred dollars. This is perfectly adequate. The sheets smelled of bleach, so I know they were clean. It's a typical motel room. The low price is because it's incredibly dated, worn. If a Super 8 is as low in the food chain as you will go then this place is not for you. We saw something super cool in this place. Echos of a glamorous past. We hope the owner renovates. "

"The Ameristar Black Hawk is a great place to stay whether you plan to gamble or not. The hotel is beautiful. The rooms are clean and staff is friendly. Not sure how they were able to build it in the middle of the mountains. Large parking garage connected to the hotel and multiple restaurants onsite. We stayed one night on our way from Idaho Springs to Estes Park."
