"Canalta Lodge is great! It’s not “downtown” so it’s very calm & quiet outside. Btw, downtown is a short 10 min walk, or even shorter ride on one of the Roam buses. I stayed in a decent-sized room with 2 queen beds; the only downside there was the closet space is tiny, especially if you’re bringing jackets. Besides that, though, the room served its purpose and the staff was helpful the couple times I had questions. The complimentary breakfast came in clutch every morning as we prepared to head...

Roomy, in a great location, bike use was free.
Staff were helpful
However foyer and lift floors were a bit dirty with street/leaf litter, even first thing in the morning.
The room we had was poorly lit, not so good for "old" eyes!"

"The hotel is advertised incorrectly on all sites.
The hotel is not a bad place to stay, but is overpriced for the experience.
There is no laundry or dry cleaning services, there is only one hot tub for the entire hotel, there is no room service other than cleaning (and they will come in your room whether you have the Do Not Disturb sign on the door or not), the included breakfast is not worth it since there is much better food within a 2 min walk.

"The from was recently redone, nice however upon checking in after 230 pm, the desk clerk said “ I am going to upgrade you to a larger room so you don’t have to wait for your room to be done” OK, funny since it was pretty late afternoon and the hotel wasn’t even 50percent full, got to the very nice room. 1st floor in a back corner and street level with our view of the passerby’s not 20 feet from our windows. A bit uncomfortable to me as anyone looking our way could easily see in. Curtains closed...
