"Amazing spa and onsen. Amazing view as you soak. Buffet is buffet but nothing exciting. The Main fancy Dinning was tasty but a few dishes were lacking excitement. "

"We stayed for 2 nights in late September (family of 3). The hotel is right on the lake, with beautiful views of Mt.Fuji from the roof top, and we had that same view from our room - it was spectacular! We had half board (breakfast and dinner) and the food and sevice were excellent. Onsen was an amazing experience - it was the first time for us and we loved it! That said, property could use some updates (for instance, our private bath was a bit outdated but it didn't bother us). Don't excpect super modern hotel, because that's not what Lakeland is. It is very charming and traditional. We enjoyed our stay very much and would stay again. "

"The best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Excellent amenities. Excellent private and public onsens. Quiet. Calm. Relaxing. I slept like a. Baby for 13 hours after a massage and two hours at the onsen. Great breakfast too!!! Incredible stay. "

"More than we ever expected! Everything was thought out, ameneties are provided (toothbrush, toothpaste, hairbrush, q-tips, wipes, skin care, etc) Breakfast was safe as a person with peanut/nut allergies, every allergen is identified, made life easier. Staff is so kind and nice. They held out luggage after checking out. We took a free shuttle offered by the hotel to get to Kawaguchiko station. Very helpful,"

"I had an incredible room regardless of Fuji-San hiding during my stay, the view of the hills and lake was breathtaking. Lovely Staff. The onsen was wonderful. The Obaasan’s at breakfast were so kind and hardworking. This was my favourite food in Japan so far! The staff at the desk were kind and helpful. "Stayed in western style room. The smell of smoke was very apparent and the rooms needed some updating but were adequate. The main plus was the spectator early morning and late evening clear views of mount Fuji."
