A wonderful stay, the property is beautiful and very well maintained. We stayed in a traditional Japanese style onsen which was and interesting experience. The dinner was amazing and the facilities are excellent
We have a great time from checking in to the time of check out the environment is so peaceful, the room is so clean and comfortable. The garden is so beautiful that one can just stay and enjoy all day… the sound of the flowing water was there while enjoying the colors of the surroundings. Oh the view of Mount Fuji was stunning.
My husband and I stayed in a western, mt fuji view with private onsen for two nights traveling in Japan. This hotel was one of the highlights of our trip. We didn’t even get to see Mount Fuji because of the weather abundant. This gem of a hotel is so unique and different. Some parts of it were old, but totally maintained. Our room was redone, and the wine lounge was part of our package. We had fun of dressing up in the complementary Yukatas, the PJs they provide were super comfortable, and I used the women’s onsen one day and it was wonderful. Part of the hot spring was outside and had a cold plunge and sauna. The breakfast and dinner were great, especially breakfast with a lot of choices. The hotel also provided loungewear that was totally appropriate to wear around the hotel. The gardens were beautiful and well maintained and feel like this was like an old Ritz Carlton vibe. The hotel is not in town but we didn’t mind taking a short taxi (someone said there’s a bus that take you all around the lake).
Stayed for 2 nights in Sanri comfort for our 1 year wedding anniversary. The view was phenomenal we were able to see fuji both mornings. My wife had the best massage of her life in the spa. The dinner was excellent but for a more adventurous eater. We really enjoyed the private onsen.
The room, the staff, the condition of the hotel, the facilities (wine lounge, the garden) and the entertainment are very good. I would suggest checking-in the hotel on time so having sufficient time to enjoy the stay in Fujisan Onsen Hotel Kaneyamaen.
Beautiful luxury hotel with amazing attentive staff. They prioritize making you feel welcome and as comfortable as possible including giving a tour of the main areas and your room when you get there. The dinner and breakfast are also amazing - our server Yuri was so sweet! We also had a phenomenal view of Mount Fuji in the early morning and the after+dinner Taiko drum show was a highlight. We only stayed for one night but it was certainly memorable and hopefully can return for longer in the future. Definitely recommend for a high-end stay near Mount Fuji!
Room with Mt Fuji view = spectacular during clear sky! Breakfast quite expansive selection, although only 7am-9am, vs standard of 6:30/7am to 10am. Private room Kaiseki dinner was fabulous (not all rooms have private room) - a bit pricey overall but if you consider it an all-inclusive (minus lunch) then it’s fabulous. We were there three nights and didn’t leave property - would stay five nights next time! Nightly drum show was great for kids (and adults!)
This is the most beautiful property I’ve been to. The staffs are professional and attentive. The private onsen is a therapeutic and luxurious experience.
The view of Mt. Fuji was awesome. Love the room with onsen and top of roof onsen gives a great view of Mt. Fuji. Food was excellent breakfast and dinner with Taiko show. The gardens were beautiful. The all you can drink wine was great. Would definitely stay here again.
We had a fabulous stay. We loved our private onsen on the first floor, it was surrounded by rocks and very serene. The dinner and breakfast were also fabulous. We were a bit nervous with our 11 year old who can be a picky eater, but they provided a children’s menu for the main dinner, while allowing her to try a few things from the adult dinner. This was one of the highlights of our trip!
The service and the team at Hotel Kaneyamaen was only surpassed by the amazing morning views of Fuji while soaking in our private hot spring onsen. What a joy and a privilege to stay at such a wonderful property with attentive, kind, lovely staff!
We were lucky enough to book one of the few rooms with a onsen bath and a view of Mount Fuji and experience the traditional Japanese futon sleeping arrangements.
The evening meal was up there with the best we've experienced anywhere in our own private dining room
The drum show was unique to watch and was in awe of their timing.
The gardens around the hotel were beautiful and peaceful.
Dor dinner we dressed in traditional Japanese clothing provided in our room, you could also go the the Kimono boutique and wear one of those too.
It was an incredible experience, time to relax after a hustling Tokyo and before heading to Kyoto.
I'd highly recommend
Staff was very polite and give you tour of the hotel. They also deliver your luggage to your room when you arrive.
Shuttle service from various stations nearby was very useful. We enjoyed our stay here
Absolutely AMAZING. Every staff member was wonderful-so kind and eager to help. The rooms are spacious and meticulous. Having the private onsen was worth every penny. The breakfast was plentiful with a nice mix of western options as well as Japanese. Mt. Full beautifully cooperated as well. This is a very special place!
Perfect onsen hotel with lots of experience you could do. Perfect Fuji Mountain View from the hotel and from the room. Dinner and breakfast are both delicious, while buffet breakfast offers lots of Japanese and western food options. Overall I would highly recommmend this hotel to everyone.

The roof top hot springs has to be the best view you can ever ask for. We loved everything about this stay. Best hotel we’ve been to. The staff were amazing!! We definitely didn’t want to leave and would 100% come back.
