Giraffe weevil from Madagascar. Endemic. Very small - about 1 inch long (2.5cm). We saw lots of these as we hiked along the roadway in search of lemurs. Even funnier looking when they fly.

The Diademed Sifaka is real cutie. On this sighting near Andasibe they were somewhat shy and staying almost out of reach in the rainforest canopy. A little fill flash along with a Magmod did the trick.
Furry-eared dwarf lemur. Nocturnal and quite elusive. However, a local restaurant puts out a few bananas each night to draw them out. Becomes a bit of a circus, with all the flashes going off, but the lemurs are quick and agile and don't stick around long. Less than a foot long (25cm) not counting the tail.
