The hotel is very dated. There is no hot spring so they gave some bath salt but it is absurd to fill the large tub with water with bath salts so we skipped it.
Staff don't really speak English and they should really invest in updating the hotel and some technology (not card system) to manage their whole.
The only onsen property up the mountain where you can admire the city view of the entire Taipei at day and night. The cleanliness of the room was ok though the room we had setting was a little dated. The Japanese style onsen and shower was great and you're gonna have a great night sleep afterwards.
Very good location in the middle of the mountain. Convenient to go up and down the mountain to wherever we wanted to go. Convenient and regular bus services just next to the hotel. Breakfast of porridge and bread were adequate. Wifi was not too bad. Just beware of pesky mosquitoes and other biting insects if you go there in June.
Hotel room is as depicted in the pictures. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is average.

No hotspring in this hotel, disappointed!!
When i arrived NEw Beitou, it was late night, i took a dinner and then took taxi there. I chose there as i preferred greenery environment as this hotel stood in high position of the mountain, far from the crowdy New Beitou MRT station, i spent $160 to take taxi to reach there. When leaving, i took local bus down to MRT station (no shuttle will be provided), but actually it was a short distance.
I booked superior deluxe room, photos of the room were exactly same as those in web site, spa tub is big enough for 4 people ( i estimate), with window. Japanese style shower was good.
But this hotel did not provide hotspring water, the reception only provided u bath salts to put in water. which i expected it major downside. if in other area, it is a good resort hotel, but in Beitou, it is a pity. Breakfast is very simple.
This hotel has the hot spring in the room, which is quite nice. There is no hot spring outdoors, though the outdoors is beautiful. It is very much in a zen garden style, and has nice views of surrounding areas.
The food was better than I expected. This place would be great for couples as the hot spring in the rooms is quite nice and private.
