"Book at SunSuri..we checked in, went to SunSuri and booked our stay there, checked out of Le Piman 2 hours later and they refused a refund. Barely any AC in the room. Small rooms, no ventilation in the restroom, out of date. "

"I’ll first start by saying my bad experience’s first. To get to the hotel was a hassle, because the address listed on Expedia is not the correct address of the hotel therefore we were left stranded in front of someone’s house. We did have to contact the hotel and they were able to speak to the driver to let them know the exact address.
Another bad experience we had was during checkout. We had booked a tour for the last morning in the hotel before checking out. We spoke to them the day before letting them know we would like to do a late checkout if possible, but they informed us that they were not able to accommodate but it was ok with us. The problem was the hotel provides beach towels, beach bag, and sandals for you to use during your stay and we were hoping to use all three things that morning during the tour. Please keep in mind that we were going to be dropped off at 12 PM and check out was at 12 PM. They first told us
no and when we went to pick up our breakfast in the morning, then they said that they would allow it, but we basically had to beg to be able to use the items and I had to explain how if they had the deposit why wouldn’t we be able to use those items still. it felt like they were just not willing to help.
To end on a good note, I ended up losing my prescription glasses cause I left them at the pool and someone took them. The staff went above and beyond by looking at the cameras and finding the person and going to their room to get my glasses back."
"There was no option for a floating breakfast or breakfast in the room. I also thought that there were limited options for room service (i.e food was served in Tupperwares)"
"The staff are very friendly and helpful. The pools are great for kids and very family friendly. Location is fairly close to the main street along the ocean where there's restaurants and massage parlors. Just about a 15 min walk. There's a 7/11 uphill the from the hotel that's about a 3 minute walk. The downside to the hotel is its level of cleanliness. My shower had mold and the couch had stains and hairs on it. My room had a foul odor of a wet towel and I believe it was coming from the ac unit. Additionally, the towels they provide you are pretty worn out and old so when you take a shower once or twice you'll walk around with funky smell when you sweat. I have to rate this stay a 4/10 with cleanliness being my biggest pet peeves."
"Pros: great location, lovely pools, grounds like a small oasis . Room big - dated but clean . Nice size balcony. Nice atmosphere , friendly staff . Laundry on site which is a godsend - the lady in there is amazing . Clean towels and bedding in the room daily.
Cons : As lovely as the grounds are the pool area could do with a jet wash (pool cleaned often I must add) The loungers, umbrellas , patio need attention . There seems to be one maintenance guy doing all and I don’t think there’s enough hours in the day to do all .
Breakfast - just weird . Staff in there try but cups, Cuttlery , butter etc run out often . Breakfast is like a full Asian meal but you can get an egg/omelette. Again the floor and windows in the breakfast room could do with a good wash .
Expedia needs to update the details of the hotel - there is no roof terrace or bar , the beach across the road is not for sunbathing - it’s where the long tail boats moar (still beautiful) There is no winery attached to the hotel for wine tasting ?? Strange thing to put as wine is very expensive there - 30% import tax.
We were a family of 13 - even though there’s not a lot of loungers etc it’s no problem , people come and go , including us, throughout the day to go on trips - it literally is a hotel to meet !
The nearest beach with loungers etc is Nai harn beach - 200bht in a grab , which has beach bars (very nice it is too)
Despite the few negatives , we would definetly stay at this hotel again . Its value for money"
"The hotel layout was odd and looked much better in photos. Rooms surround the pool (as you can see in pics), so unless the sun is directly overhead, you’re in shade most of the time. Something to keep in mind if you’re after proper sun.
The biggest downside was the constant battle for sunbeds, which made it feel like a budget European hotel. There were chairs around the pool, but they weren’t really usable for relaxing.
The beach is a 5–10 minute walk, but not great, so we only went a couple of times. It just wasnt nice and the sun beds were old and nasty.
My main issue was how they handled our booking when our Dubai flight was cancelled due to the Iran conflict. Despite the situation being completely out of our control, they refused to accommodate us properly. They offered to change dates, but only by downgrading our room and charging us MORE. No flexibility, no effort to help. It came across as very money-driven and left a bad impression. We totally appreciate the need for refund policies. But I think to have asked for more money for a downgrade was insulting. We stayed there for the few nights we had left of our booking and left. We went to another hotel in Kamala and had an amazing time. Kamala was lovely. Shout out to Ayara Kamala where we stayed the rest of our trip.

"Quiet, beachy vibe, staff was lovely, food was good, pool was nice, locals can pay a daily rate to visit but that was fun because my kids made friends. Bed set up was perfect for a family with 2-3 kids, everyone had their own bed. A solid hour from the airport but not inaccessible, 40 min into ChillVa market. Night life wasn’t for us so not an issue. Overall lovely stay, only slight downside was mosquitoes in the shower area which is open air. A fan would have been nice to keep them at bay while using the bathroom area, but we didn’t have any issues otherwise. "
