"We enjoyed staying in a local hotel in a "regular" neighborhood. (Near the Place du Nations metro station). Great shower water pressure and temperature. Our rooms did have AC. Not minibar or fridge...I saw that listed somewhere. Breakfast is available for a cost...the staff will help you poach an egg and work the coffee machine. Great choices. They have maps for Paris and the metro system."

"My partner and I had a short but very lovely stay at Hôtel Folie and we can’t wait to stay again. It is both simple and thoughtfully decorated and the staff were relaxed and casual but kind and attentive. We don’t get to stay in hotels often and admittedly aren’t very fussy but this was a little treat for ourselves that really lived up to our expectations and felt very special. Next time we are in Paris we’d be keen to stay here again. The surrounding area is great for food options and wine...

"This apartment had only one not so great fan during a heat wave. Communication with the host was slow and ineffectual. The apartment had wet floors when we arrived, and smelled like mildew and mold for the duration of our stay. We didn’t feel safe leaving windows open since it was ground floor level, but had no choice due to the heat. The neighboring apartments were noisy with screaming children up all night long. We didn’t sleep the entire trip. I would not recommend this apartment,...

"This was a great little apartment in the heart of Paris. The kitchen and washer were really helpful in our stay. Communication was good and access was easy. There are a couple grocery stores nearby, and close bakeries for a morning croissant or baguette. Also, easy access to the metro and buses. Be warned, it is on the 5th floor with 85 steps up.
