"Lovely hotel, previously stayed when it was Lacanda san Barnaba and the upgrade is really great, whilst still keeping the originsl ceiling frescos and other features. Great new updsted bathrooms. Great communal areas as well as fab breakfast. Only slight niggle was not much hanging space and no drawers but easily manageable. Overall a great stay"

"The hotel is a former Palazzo. Everything about it is impeccable. The staff knows you by name. The food is excellent. The location is perfect, far enough away from the crowds but close enough that everything is within walking distance would definitely stay there again when I go back to (Venice)"

"This is a really great property in an amazing location. We had the Magnolia apartment and the living room and bedrooms are huge. The palazzo is beautifully restored and it is such a comfortable place. We were able to get a water taxi directly to and from so no dragging luggage around Venice. I highly recommend staying here. "

"Venice is one of those complicated cities to navigate so it's hard to optimize for the "best location". It was a bit of a long walk and lots of stairs from the train station and bus terminal. Even if you take a vaporetto it's a winding walk through the streets---only a taxi could get you conveniently to this hotel. But it's in a pleasant neighborhood that's pretty chill and about equidistant from most of the things you want to do. Gondola rides are right around the corner. It's about a 40...

"Easy journey to Marco Polo airport from the Carnival hotel on the Aliaguna water bus to Guglie a short walk from the hotel. Lots of good restaurants and aperitif places on the canal outside the hotel. Easy access to all the main sites from Tri Archi vaporetto stop outside the hotel. Much cheaper to get a two or three or more days, water bus pass for as many journeys that you want to take each day. Good safe local neighbourhood to wander about including evenings."

Extremely welcoming and courteous staff—Giovanni was at the property every day to answer our questions and was genuinely friendly and helpful. The only slight downside for our stay was a very noisy family with a baby in the room above ours—the sound really travels in this building, just like most older buildings in Venice—however this wasn’t a big issue for us and was not the fault of the hotel. Hotel location is excellent; ferry right next to hotel and restaurants and Ice Cream shops just a few minutes walk. Highly recommend this hotel, especially for first time visitors."

"Lovely hotel. Very central to all parts of Venice. Quiet at night which was great after a long day sightseeing. Good facilities. Lovely roof top terrace/bar. We didn’t opt to have breakfast as we wanted to go out early and explore but thought the value of €15 was good for a buffet as Venice isn’t cheap. Great location, clean and staff very helpful. Would definitely stay again"
