"The staff were all so nice and helpful. Breakfast buffet was great. Rooms a bit outdated but clean. Best thing was the hotel brought our bags to the train station after our trip to Machu Picchu so we did not have to go back to the hotel and pick them on our way out of Aguas Calientes."

"The staff was very rude during check-in and had a difficult time communicating with them. Beware that this is truly an eco-friendly place where they only provide one key per room so if there are multiple people in one room, it makes it very difficult. The size of the rooms was great, but the shower curtain had some mold on it and the sheets were extremely itchy,I felt like bugs were crawling on me every night! The room included breakfast, which was absolutely the best breakfast I’ve had in Peru....

"Hotel Tara Machapicchu sits near the top of the hill in Aguas Calientes (named after the nearby hot springs) and sometimes called Machapicchu (after a nearby mountain). The hotel enjoys a dramatic view of the river running through town and is comfortably distant from the hubbub of buses loading and unloading tourists, but very close to all the other amenities - shops, restaurants, and even a 2-hour laundry with reasonable rates. Our room was clean, had a nice river view, and three roomy beds so...

"Great place to stay if going to Machu Picchu. The staff are so helpful, the bus stop to go to Machu Picchu is just across the road and it’s a 1min walk from the train station. We also LOVED the restaurant “Ponchos” which is just underneath. Definitely reccomend!"
