"Loved staying at Abbey Strand! Very historic building but with all modern conveniences. Quiet part of Royal Mile away from noise & traffic but easy walk to anywhere. No air conditioning but temps are generally cooler. Definitely recommend a stay when in Edinburgh."
"Wir waren begeistert und fühlten uns rundum wohl. Alle Fragen wurden von den Mitarbeitenden herzlich beantwortet und man hatte immer das Gefühl, Willkommen zu sein. Das Zimmer war für 3 Personen sehr schön aufgeteilt, so dass jeder seinen "Freiraum" hatte. Für uns, die in Edinburgh immer alles zu Fuß machen, eine perfekte Lage. "
"This was a great convenient spot. Comfortable and easy to communicate with while we were there. I would suggest grab bars in tub/shower for safety as it is a deep step in and out of shower. "
"This is a great hotel. Very well located and the room was well equipped with a very comfortable bed. The breakfast was excellent and it included a glass of champagne. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. "
"It is quite difficult to find from wavely train station .not quite far from the center. This hotel run by family bussinessI thought. Not well worth for the money."
"A special and very personalised stay from the moment you check in. It feels more like you are staying at Bonnar’s home than a hotel. Easy walking to the city. "
"The hotel’s setting was ideal for my plan to walk around Edinburgh. The staff were kind, knowledgeable, and accommodating. I would definitely stay at Hotel du Vin my next trip to Edinburgh."
"Great apartment with an awesome view of the castle. It was beneficial being able to catch up on some washing. The apartment was spacious and easy to find. Note there isn’t parking nearby so allow for this. It was an easy walk to the recommended car park. "
"Great experience with the staff and concierge. Room accommodation was terrific and the location of the hotel is perfectly situated in the “old town” area so is convenient to the Edinburgh Castle, restaurants and shopping. If returning to Edinburgh, we would definitely stay here again."
"The Royal Mile has become a zoo, but it's also the spine of Edinburgh (literally), and so a hotel on an extension of the Royal Mile that's both centrally located and not quite so frenetic is a great compromise. The service was very good, the rooms clean, and the cooking facilities and full-size fridge meant we ate out when we wanted to, not because we had to. The included breakfast was about average (please find a better supplier for the consistently stale pain au chocolat!) but filling, and we...
