hotel was a good price for the area it is located in. but hotel room was not clean. room service never showed up, and if you get the included breakfast just know they hand you a box of rice and bottle of green tea and that's it. rooms are extremely tiny but to be fair that is typical of Japan. 30-40 min walk from most attractions in the area which was nice
This is a great chain of hotels to stay at for solo or couples for a night or two, excellent value for money, most are easy to find and close to the subway. Rooms are small, but comfortable
Livemax Hotel Hommachi is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Surroundings are so dirty and dusty and had molds in the bathroom. The walls are full of brown patches of sauce. The price of the room is like paying for a clean and spacious 4 star hotel. The worst nightmare ever!

Room is small with little amount of ventilation. Staff service at counter is only available from 2pm onwards. Nearest train service is 5-10mins away depending on your walking speed. Cafe at the hotel is closed down so get your food from 7-11 or family mart instead.
While we understand lots of hotel rooms are small, this was unusually small for 4 people. We could live with that. The real issue was the poor service. They would not accept our luggage delivery and I had to sit on the lobby and wait for the delivery (about an hour). We also had to haul our luggage out as they would not call a service for us. They would only give us one key card and said there would be a 9,000 yen charge if it was not returned upon check out.
A very regrettable experience as we have travelled in Japan and never had such poor service
The hotel staffs are very rude, unlike anything else I have experienced in Japan, the room I stayed in was filthy and the toilet had a terrible rotten egg smell. When I informed the front desk, they refused to help and told me that there was no other room available to change. So I asked if someone could clean the room instead, but the front-desk told me the cleaning staffs were already gone for the day and there was absolutely nothing they can do! The hotel does not provide cleaning if you stay multiple days, the rooms are tiny with no room to open a suitcase and very filthy. I booked 2 rooms and they were both filthy and smelled musty. Need to avoid at all cost!
The room was much smaller than in the photo and the air conditioner was covered in dust. Then there was mold on the shower curtain in the bathroom. These are not the biggest problems, but the night I checked in on January 9th, the older waitress at the counter fiercely ordered me to pay all my reservations in one lump sum. It's like my creditor is bullying me with threats. I can't move my luggage because of the pain from my old back injury, but I will never stay in this hotel again. Although I go back for a month every year. Never I have never seen such a rude counter employee. The female counter employee was like a demon and very vicious. She was older and seemed to be venting her own unhappiness on me. It was so scary. The room was dark. It's like a prison. It's full of bad luck. I lost $60,000 because of this. I regret living here very much. I will never live here again.
