"I accidentally booked the wrong kind of room, but the staff there was quick to fix my mistake and put us in a room that could accommodate 2 people. The lobby is huge, which is nice because there were so many people coming in/out. They give you a locker to put your shoes in, as you cannot wear shoes in the hotel. We stayed in a room with 2 twin beds that I thought was pretty large by Japanese hotel standards. The onsen was open during most day time hours; of note, people are not allowed to have tattoos when you go into them. There are free sweet treats and free late night ramen available as well. We prepaid for breakfast, and I am so glad we did because it was the best hotel breakfast I ever had. There was an option to add breakfast to your stay if you initially did not have it included in your reservation. Washing clothes was free, but drying them was 100 yen per cycle. The hotel is located in a quieter part of the city a few blocks away from the canal, where there is a really nice walking/running/biking trail. Although it is in a quieter part of the city, there are a lot of restaurants/cafes nearby. Also very close to the Kyoto station and Shichijo station. I would 100% recommend staying here if you were to visit Kyoto!"

"The room was nice. It wasn’t a big room but it was spacious enough to feel comfortable. I love that they provided a humidifier because the Japan winters are very dry. The amenities were great and abundant. No need to bring toiletries. The restaurant food was a little pricey but the food was well worth it. The location of the hotel is also perfection. Walking distance from Gion and many other attractions. You will not be bored. The staff was great and the complimentary coffee hit the spot on those cold mornings. "

"Hotel is located just north of all the attractions in Gion. Its an easy walk to hop on the metro for most attractions but if you prefer to be more central to all the shopping and tourist area, then look somewhere a little southwest. The staff was friendly and helpful. We had a pretty good sized room with three double beds. Breakfast was good. There is little to no places for breakfast around the area before 11 am. So if you want an early breakfast, I suggest just eating breakfast at the hotel. I did, however, find a few spots for AM coffee within a few minutes walk from our hotel."

"One of our favourite hotels from our 14 night tour. Welcomed our group with a taste of sake. The rooms were spacious, clean and modern. Good facilities for laundry and although I didn't have breakfast in the restaurant, others in our group really enjoyed it. Located close to metro, good dining options and walk to central city."
