"You may save money staying here instead of the beach, but you’ll quickly find of why once you arrive. My friends had broken AC and ants in their room requiring them to move units multiple times throughout our trip and if you want a drink by the pool you will wait your whole trip to get even the simplest of orders. And to the latter it’s not about being more patient or them being understaffed, it’s literally just poor service."

"The hotel did not meet our expectations, it does not match the price or the reviews. We got a room without a real window (the window faced the hallway) so there is no oxygen inside. There was an unpleasant smell in the room, which could not be ventilated. The wall near the air conditioning was wet and with black mold. The air conditioning also smelled. It was very unpleasant. The bed was worn, the mattress had a depression in the middle.The breakfast was only basic, the ingredients did not seem to be of good quality. So far the worst hotel I have been to, I would not return."

"O café da manhã, porém, perdeu um pouco da nostalgia de encontrar as maritacas pousando no vidro, momentos em que podíamos alimentá las, além de sentir a deliciosa brisa carioca. Entendo que, em dias de chuva, seja necessário manter o ambiente fechado, especialmente porque o espaço não é tão grande. Ainda assim, tive a impressão de que o restaurante acabou perdendo um pouco do charme que tornava essa experiência tão especial. O hotel continua sendo uma ótima opção de hospedagem, perto de tudo e muito seguro."

"The hotel overall was great. The staff are very friendly, easy check in, the room was very clean with all the proper amenities. Breakfast and dinner was really good as well. The location isn't bad and its easy access to Ubers. I would definitely recommend it. "

" Cons: I wish I could give this accommodation zero stars and that’s solely for the utter lack of empathy shown by the front desk staff and especially a woman named I think Ali?. When I walked in Feb 17 after being assaulted and robbed right around the block from the hotel, and announced it at while she was at the front desk, she could not give a toss. Neither did the security guard. No one offered any assistance or concern whatsoever. Even when I asked her to reach the manager for a first aid kit, she seemed bored. He in turn seemed surprised, but again ZERO sympathy offered. This dismal attitude is on par with the rubbish attitude of the reception in general. When you walk in no one says hello, and when you leave no one says goodbye. They seem completely and utterly uninterested in the guests. Absolutely appalling “customer service.” These people should not be in business or should be retrained immediately. The area is complete rubbish so 100% do not recommend staying here during carnival as that that was when I got assaulted by walking to get lunch around the block from the hotel. There was almost no one around in the immediate vicinity of the hotel, special later in the afternoon. I do not recommend staying here even during no Carnival because even though the immediate area is busier during the work hours (the Italian, French and German consulates are literally around the block!), it’s really unsafe at night and you HAVE to take an Uber. "
