Modest hotel, good price - quality ratio

I arrived late at night. Everyone was nice, and most of the staff could speak Spanish and English in addition to their native Portuguese. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The place looked a little old, but that’s not a bad thing to me because, as I said, they were clean and comfortable. I’ll stay there in a future visit to Rio.

HARD STAY @ SOFT OPENING

The hotel was very centrally located in the city center. The check in process was fairly easy so I was optimistic because the lobby looked pretty clean and modern. at first glance, The room looked clean and tidy. But there were numerous thinigs in need of repair or replacing. Most noteably, the beds. Both "double beds" mattresses were tattered, torn and riddles with holes, which wasn't hard to see because the only bedding was twin size mattress pad under a tucked flat sheet, and a second flat sheet. two black accent pillow that (without a black light) had visible crusted stains on both! In the closet was an additional, dingy white "comforter" that had seen better days and was stained. The pool, was cloudy and merky, but the bartender Fabio was amazing. The food at the restaurant was amazing but the fried chicken turned me off when I tore off a piece and busted a vein. Ew. All in all, for rhis to be a "SOFT OPENING", there were too many things unfinished and ill maintained to open soft or hard.

Disappointing

Only one elevator was working. Since there are 13 floors and people going on and off, you had to wait a very long time to use it. Not very clean with the toilet paper being stained upon arrival. The staff was not helpful either.

My experience at Hotel Atlântico Tower was very disappointing, especially during check-out. I had a night flight and asked if I could wait in the lobby or use some of the facilities after checking out, as I had a long wait ahead. I wasn't even asking for a room — just somewhere to stay comfortably while I was still a guest in the country. I was also willing to consume something inside the hotel (food, drinks, etc.). Despite this, the staff were completely unhelpful and even rude in their tone. They didn’t offer any support or alternatives and made it very clear I wasn’t welcome to stay. To make things worse, they charged me to store my suitcase — something that many hotels offer as a courtesy. Their customer service was seriously lacking, and they didn’t seem to know how to handle simple guest requests. Also, during my stay, I had asked for my room to be cleaned, but when I came back later, it was exactly as I had left it — dirty and untouched. No explanation, no adjustment, nothing. It felt like they simply didn’t care about guest comfort at all. This was the last hotel I stayed at in Rio de Janeiro, and unfortunately, it left a very bad impression just before leaving the country. For the price they charge, I expected much better service and a more professional attitude. I do not recommend Hotel Atlântico Tower, and I really hope they improve their customer service and basic hospitality standards.

La habitación que había elegido según tenía vista a la ciudad y no era cierto, la ventana daba a unas bombas que todo el tiempo sonaban, era una habitación muy pequeña y antigua, no como las imágenes de la publicación. Al parecer solo los pisos de hasta arriba están remodelados. Está céntrico, si! En cuanto al personal solo tuvimos contacto el día que llegamos, con la persona de recepción, todo fue amable, pero nada más. La TV no tiene disponibilidad para plataformas, solo canales nacionales por lo que cuando quisimos usarla solo era en portugués.

A nossa chegada ao hotel foi tranquila e conseguimos entrar no quarto sem problemas. O Wi-Fi não funcionou no quarto, o que me obrigou a ir até a área da piscina para conseguir trabalhar. No entanto, realizar reuniões nesse ambiente foi muito desconfortável, já que se trata de um espaço de lazer. O Wi-Fi deveria funcionar adequadamente no quarto, especialmente para quem precisa trabalhar durante a estadia. Durante a madrugada, o elevador parou de funcionar, o que nos obrigou a subir e descer vários lances de escada, inicialmente pela área de serviço. Posteriormente, foi liberado apenas um elevador, que acabou ficando em situação de superlotação. Os funcionários que nos atenderam diretamente foram muito atenciosos e simpáticos, o que merece reconhecimento. Porém, se tivéssemos que depender das dependências e da estrutura do hotel para permanecer mais tempo, a experiência teria sido bastante ruim. No penúltimo dia, o banheiro do quarto alagou devido a um problema no chuveiro, e o quarto não foi higienizado após o ocorrido, o que nos causou grande desconforto. No geral, apesar do bom atendimento da equipe, a estadia deixou a desejar devido a falhas estruturais e de manutenção. Considerando o valor cobrado pela hospedagem, esse tipo de problema não deveria ocorrer.
