"Rooms are worn out. I read somewhere they’ll renovate soon. Staff is friendly but they look bored, very off character for a Mexican resort. My main concern was food. Brkfst Buffett was terrible and restaurants were meh. Pool is amazing and it is so close to airport that it pains me not to go back, but I wouldn’t. "

"The woman who helped us check in to our room, answered all our questions and offered us coffee was lovely. Instructions on how to access the hotel and which building it was was unclear, and when I called the number provided the man was not very welcoming. We enjoyed the shared outdoor space, the air conditioning in the room and the proximity to the airport and downtown. "

"I was warmly received by the staff, and had a great weekend trip with all inclusive amenities. Fair warning to those hoping for a fridge and a microwave: these are not included but the buffet and free drinks available more than make up for this. I would recommend this place for any first timers in Vallarta. "

"Upon check in we were kind of underwhelmed. The hotel is dated - the rooms are dated but clean. After further inspection - we realized the grounds were beautiful and well maintained. First we went to the bar to get a reposado shot. Unfortunately they didn’t have any. And we soon realized that the bar was quite under stocked. But they were so willing to bring in almost anything that we required. Then we went for dinner at the buffet - the food was just okay. But once we realized you could order...

"Pues, fue toda una aventura: el elevador decorativo no servía, parecía más escultura que transporte. No había agua caliente, así que ducha fría forzada. Todo el edificio estaba en obra y lleno de polvo, como vivir en una construcción. De noche las escaleras estaban a oscuras, un deporte extremo. Lo único rescatable: el departamento estaba bonito, y eso que ni luz tenía. En fin, una experiencia para recordar... para no repetir."

"We were given the North Tower and we had a few bugs but nothing that really bothered us. Made sure to keep food in fridge and not out. No sun at pools until late and very hard to get a chair by the pool as there are none on the beach. Quite crowded. Food was good. Kids club was ok - we just sat around their pool with our little ones. had some sun there and lots of chairs so this was nice. Gorgeous view from the room and saw wales. Would not go back but I do love southern Vallarta."

"The wifi is only in the common areas and not in any of the rooms, which is inconvenient, but not a deal breaker. Here’s the thing, I was not impressed by the front door but after you go into the actual courtyard, it’s much nicer than you’d think. The rooms are big and are in decent condition for the age and area. It is very convenient to walk down to the beach and excursions, and not be super high priced because it’s not right on the beach. "

"Resort is a bit rundown. The floor of our room was very dirty, we had to wash a large sticky area ourselves. We paid for an ocean view upgrade but barely had a view, and our room was above the kitchen so we always had the greasy cooking smell"
