"Stayed at Riu Vallarta for 4 days as part of a 12 day trip in Puerto Vallarta (stayed at the Riu Jalisco for the other 8 days). Vallarta is a step up from the Jalisco in almost every way. Property is closer to the beach so it is not a long walk from your room to the beach. Crowds weren't too bad but you did have to get up early to claim a chair near the pools. Food options are good with a buffet and 4 restaurants. Biggest complaint I would have would be with the room refrigerator restock. We...

"My husband and I stayed at the Hyatt Ziva for our 20 year anniversary and had a wonderful experience! The staff was always friendly and attentive, and the drinks were awesome! The food options at the restaurants were mostly very good, although we wouldn't recommend the sashimi at the Asian restaurant. We loved being both in the jungle and at the beach. Would definitely recommend!"

"The food is good, lots of options for salads, fruits, ect, lacking meat options! The staff in the beach and pool area are fantastic as well the lunch restaurant by the pool was excellent! The only real disappointment was at the adults only area! The staff was snobby/rude, went there for lunch once, we didn't get a drink! Noone even acknowledged us, obviously didn't return to that area! Proble wont return because we prefer renting something on its own and eating at little restaurants intown! "

"Special shout-out to Eric, captain of the bellhops, for going above and beyond for me on my first trip to Mexico. I chose this resort as a "budget friendly" option and I was very happy with my selection. Yes, the pool could use some touch ups on the tilework but overall I had a lovely time."

"We enjoyed the Property by coming back after a few years not being there . Maybe it was the time of the Year that we seen way more Mexican Clientele with Families.Therefore we ask to be moved to a quieter Poolside & more peaceful.
