Really lovely staff, they let me check in slightly early which is extremely kind. The two ladies working in the bar/reception area were super warm and friendly. It was slightly noisy outside, so if you need silence when you sleep it might not be the place for you but it suited me fine! I would definitely come back

Hotel was wonderful! So cute and homely. What a little gem hidden in such a good location. The staff were kind and helpful. Very decent hotel breakfast as well. Would definitely book again.

One night stay for Theatre trip

We enjoyed our one night stay at The Buxton. It was close to Spitalfields Market which we enjoyed visiting and it was an easy tube ride to the West End for the theatre. It was a good last minute find for a reasonable price in central London and the breakfast was excellent.

Lovely place

Loved our stay here. Perfect location. Everyone working there was so nice and the service was great. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and a great start to the day. The room was small as expected but it was all we needed and at a great price and the roof garden was a lovely place to have a little sit for a bit. We were telling some friends about it and discovered they'd stayed there recently too and had the same thoughts!!

The location is great. The hotel is in an old building and it has a lot of charme. The rooms are nice and comfy, even though a little small. As the building is old, there is no elevator. Service is very good and accommodating. We liked the breakfast very much and their coffee machine is excellent. They even had alternative milk (oat). We'd definitely come back.

Chic and stylish functional, staff and hotel alike

Chic and stylishly functional. Space was limited in our double room, more of a challenge in the heatwave despite a decent plugin fan, and could make longer stays less comfortable, but for a short stay the attention to details and location it is perfect. Noise could be a problem if neighbours were loud, but the windows do a great job of blocking street noise. Large fresh towels, powerful shower and nice products, hairdryer and Nespresso. We didn't need the coffee machine though because the service downstairs was just too good. The breakfast was outstanding and overseen by a small, friendly and highly efficient team who embodied the hotel spirit with their eye for detail and accommodating attitude. We would definitely stay again, especially in milder weather.
