"We enjoyed Sangregado Lodge. Upon arrival, we were greeted and offered fresh coconut water, which was a nice touch. The highlight of this lodge is the spectacular view of the Arenal valley. The lodge had very few to no amenities but its location high up in the mountain made it feel more remote and less touristy than the resorts on the main La Fortuna road. "Wonderful stay at this hotel! Perfect view of Arenal volcano. On site they have a farm where kids can milk cows, have a small horse back ride and gather eggs from the hen house daily. The staff was incredibly helpful with whatever we needed. On the property are 4 hot spring pools to enjoy! Very safe property I let my 13 year old wander and explore. We also tried the on property spa and got massages, it was rustic but an excellent treatment"
