"The Nohga line is superior (even to most of the common American hotel names). The vibes are relaxing, modern, but Japanese touches. The hotel is very pretty -- has a beautiful rooftop bar area and an EXCELLENT bakery in the lobby (with vegan options)!!! The staff was so friendly and helpful. The concierge will help recommend places if you want to get a foot massage, or head treatment or anything and make the appointments for you. You can also rent eBikes from them if you reserve ahead of time. Loved staying here and if you get the opportunity to stay in this brand of hotels -- you should! "

"Beautiful hotel! The room was lovely, the hotel staff were very helpful, and there were many amenities (snack bar, drinks machine, many laundry machines available). The train station was just a few minutes away and about 15-20 minute walk to Kyoto Station. The area was calm and quiet at night. Also just a few minutes walk away from a convenience store. Would recommend to a friend and would definitely stay here again."

"This hotel has a perfect location in Kyoto! Staff was super helpful and friendly. There was an essential oil used throughout the hotel (especially the 3rd floor) that was quite strong smelling which triggered my allergies. More so then any hotel has ever done. By avoiding the 3rd and 4th floor I had no issues. Additionally - while the room is laid out nicely and comfortable (shower/bath combo being a highlight) there is no storage, no hooks, no where to put your stuff. But there is definitely room for that. Otherwise the hotel would have gotten a glowing 5*"

"Location was good for ease of getting everywhere. The room was small but ok. TV lacked being smart to watch YouTube or cast to. Shower was ok, except on full power in the wet room would swivel to the wall and had to be held."

"Very clean and well located. Just around the corner from train station with good eateries nearby and many sites within walking distance or a train/bus ride away. Rooms are generously sized for Japan standards (didn't feel like a closet). We enjoyed our stay and would come back again. "

"Really nice big room. Great bathroom. Lovely views from the floor to ceiling windows. Only downside was no laundry machines in the hotel but I was helpfully directed by staff to a laundry 5 mins away which did the job. Would definitely stay again. "
