"Before booking this hotel I researched its ratings. I was checking it out based on convenience, but convenience does not override the ability of getting a good nights sleep. I was happy to see it it had a 9.8 rating. Now having stayed there, I am shocked it didn't get a 10 rating from everyone. "Excellent place to stay in Gion. Really nice location, convenient. Attentive staff but they will not get in your way. Nice bathroom with a Japanese-style shower and tub area. Very clean and nice amenities. Although no breakfast provided, they provide suggestions and a convenience store is right across the street."
"All was great. Clean, well-maintained, and easy to access. Great location, with Nishiki Market, countless restaurants, and grocery nearby. The only minor complaint I have is the slowness of filling the hot tub on the first day. On subsequent days it got better, however. The staff was very responsive through email.
