My only suggestion would have more variety with the buffet breakfast -there were a lot of egg dishes that were ok and not a great variety of fruit.The sister hotel in Tokyo had an amazing buffet breakfast that included fish ,chicken ,abundance of fresh fruit. I would recommend this hotel as it was super easy to get around ,wonderful staff and exceptionally clean."

"The perfect Ryokan experience that we were looking for. Nice tatami family room, small bathing area and extremely elaborate multi-course dinner. Breakfast was interesting, as well. We were a family of four and there were two extra mattresses in the cupboard which we were able to put under two of the futons for extra comfort. Great location in a very touristy part of town."

"Wonderful! The hotel is in a great location in the Gion district - it’s beautiful and so clean, comfortable and secure. The staff was amazing – so friendly and helpful. We loved the breakfast - lots of delicious options to choose from. The hotel offered many amenities, including a lovely public bath, city tour, guest lounge, and shuttle service to the train station. Would definitely recommend and would stay there again!"
