"If I could give them 10 stars I would. Staff were very accommodating, helpful and friendly. There is an excellent bakery on the first floor as well as the restaurant. I managed to snag some fried fish tacos and they were delicious (and I’m from Texas). The cocktails served on the 6th floor patio were amazing. There’s a great vibe there."

"Good hotel, well placed if you are looking to be very close to the touristy area. Very close to a train station, tons of services around as well. Bed is comfy, with a firm mattress. Bathroom shower is great, and having access to a public bath is a huge plus. Only caveat is that the hotel is mostly packed with tourists, which brings its own set of issues in the public bath (haven't seen anything outrageous, but definitely a few "no no" in bath etiquettes). Room has thick carpet, which was a bit of an issue for me due to allergies (they do vacuum regularly). Convenience store not even a 30 seconds walk away. For me, it's too close to the super touristy area, so I might think twice next time I book in Kyoto. It may sound picky, but to each their own in terms of what you look for in terms of experience. For the price and everything I listed above, hard to beat. They do not have a laundry facility, but there are two close by. Staff were super helpful, polite, etc"

"Brilliant welcoming and helpful staff. Room was cleaned to perfection daily with clean laundry available too. The lounge with hot and cold drinks was fantastic along with a superb wide ranging breakfast buffet containing continental and Japanese favourites. We used the compact gym with dumbbells, cycle machine and treadmills which was accessible at peak times. You could view the laundry machines via QR code available from your room TV which was helpful. The central location of the hotel and top quality facilities means I would recommend to other especially having stayed in Kyoto at the Ibis Styles nearby."
