"Was a beautiful hotel tucked away from the hustle and bustle. Lots of places to eat around there and do once a hotel that wasn’t overpriced for drinks, meals, massages etc once you were there. Wish we had more nights! My only complaint would be the sunbeds only get sun until early afternoon. "

"I loved the beach area with the secluded cove to swim in, feels like a private paradise. The restaurant was amazing, very relaxed atmosphere and some of the best food I think I’ve ever had - everything is made in house from fresh ingredients. We had booked a treehouse bungalow but they overbooked so our room looked like any other hotel and had no hammock. It was also far away from the restaurant close to the staff housing. It was a whole hike to get up there which was scary to walk through the...

"Excellent hotel, the staff were fantastic along with rooms and general layout of the hotel. Very steep im places, but they offer free golf buggy rides to/from your room. Loved our week long stay here."

"I had a very pleasant stay at Baan Kiao Resort. The highlight of the resort is definitely the staff, very warm, helpful, and welcoming throughout my stay.
The beach is beautiful and only a one-minute walk from the resort, and the pool was great for relaxing. Although the resort mainly caters to families, I still enjoyed it as a solo traveller. There are also restaurants, cafés, a 7-Eleven, and an exchange booth within walking distance, so the area feels convenient without being overly...

"We had an excellent stay here. It as a dream! The room was spacious, very clean and the staff was super helpful. The restaurant next to the hotel is also amazing. "

"While rooms are just average, having the long swim lane pool, an excellent location on the beach with great restaurants nearby, this is a wonderful slice of heaven for those who want to chill and relax! One of our favorite parts of our Southeast Asia vacation!"

"The location is great if you’re going to the full moon party. The villas are a bit run down, furnished pretty cheaply. We had issues with bugs our first few hours in our villa. At first it was large millipedes coming out of the drain and then later found a huge cockroach in my belongings. I understand the villas are surrounded by plants and nature but if we looked down the drain we could see sunlight coming through, as if there was no seal and the drain just leads to the outdoors. I notified the front desk of this and they kindly moved us to a different villa, which was apparently an upgraded more expensive room because it was a sea view and not a garden view like we initially booked. At checkin when we first arrived we asked the employee if we would be able to extend our stay by 1 day and we would pay whatever rate. He said this was okay and showed us a rate of 3500 baht or so and that we could pay upon checkout. On our last night a different employee approached us and told us we still need to pay for the extra night and told us it would be approx 6000 baht. It was hard to figure it out due to the language barrier but he was trying to charge us for a night in the more expensive sea view room and not the garden view we booked, even though we never asked to be moved to a more expensive room. It was eventually sorted but it was quite annoying to deal with after already dealing with disgusting bugs in the room."

"Older resort in a stunning beachside location with a huge pool. Most staff were friendly and helpful, especially Julie.
My ground floor room was spacious with a renovated bathroom & terrace. Unfortunately the old, heavy timber furniture was dated, whilst the poor lighting, multiple light switches and heavy curtains combined to create a dark ambience. The bed mattress was firm and uncomfortable.
Breakfasts were disappointing - eg limited range of cereals and fresh fruit, malfunctioning toaster. Service staff seemed bored and disinterested.
Heaps of customer service improvement and building/grounds maintenance are required eg painting of timber railings, broken step tiles, rubbish at foot of stair wells.
Local shops outside the Hotel include a mini-market but only a single major restaurant."
"Beautiful resort! Pools were great! The beach was not good for swimming, however, there is a beautiful large, lively one within 15 minutes of walking. There’s also a free Shuttle to 2nd pool."
"Beautiful setting with easy beach access, adequate pool (although only around 10 lounges are provided). Attentive check in and service staff in the beach-facing restaurant. Adequate buffet breakfast but the flies and mosquiotos are annoying.
Other issues are the lack of evening entertainment (incl.music) - apart from the exciting fire show on Sundays. Also limited access to live Australian TV channels (some repeats are on Youtube). Resort can get a bit boring for a solo traveller after a couple of days, especially as the linked Village contains mainly restaurants and mini-markets but no pub or tour office."
"Very clean. If looking to stay in Haad Rin and don’t want a cheap hostel would definitely recommend this spot. Pool is also pretty well maintained.
Also great location for full moon/beach."

"Bathroom smelled like perfumed sewage. Shower water temp never got hotter than lukewarm. You get charged for ice, and there's a laundry list detailing how much you will be charged for staining any item, including the disposable slippers...
Rooms are tiny with no storage to speak of. Bathroom layout is insane: shower is huge, vanity and toilet are airliner sized."
"Staff couldn’t do enough for you - the rooms are large. The air con could do with a bit of an update as not as cool as it could be but not uncomfortable.
Fresh towels every day, staff couldn’t do enough for you, big shout out to San Oo and Hugo who looked after me and my husband so well.
Don’t listen to the bad reviews. It’s a great hotel with everything you need and the restaurant food is also so tasty. "
