"We had a great stay at the Black Orchid, beautiful location by the river and close to the airport. Staff were very friendly and the room was comfortable. A troupe of howler monkeys were right outside the restaurant! There were quite a a few mosquitos around dusk and at night, so bring your bug spray! "

"This property is so quaint and nice. Dave and his wife are simply fantastic hoteliers. The team was incredibly attentive, even Mark, the overnight guard was the friendliest person. I highly recommend this place as your headquarters while in Belize City. Very close to the Ferry so it's easy if you're going to spend a couple of days in San Pedro or Caulker Caye. I can't wait to go back and stay longer because we spent the bulk of our time in San Pedro and only got one night at One South...

"The rooms are awesome, but the yard is still under development, the canal is choked with grass and trash making the kayak rental a no go , it's located abit remote if you are planning on walking anywhere.
