"Lovely friendly staff, garden room was lovely and clean and well equipped….only problem we had was the heating was set at 35 degrees upon arrival and it took a while to cool it down with windows and doors open.
Would stay here again without a doubt "
"An overnight stay needed before a uni offer day at Durham., I just wish we could have stayed longer.
Clean, comfortable, everything you could possibly need and the views !
Hopefully the uni offer will be accepted and I can stay again for a while longer !"
"The manager Anna couldn’t have been nicer. She greeted us with a cup of tea and biscuits and allowed us to check-in early and was very helpful with suggestions of things to do in the city. Rooms were comfortable and quiet and included on-site free parking. Location just a short walk into the centre. Breakfast also very good with lots of options. "
"I attended a wedding not to far from the hotel, so when I came to check in, front of desk was warm and welcoming,friendly atmosphere, house keeping staff very friendly, room was over the riverside, beautiful views, room was clean, and fresh, beds were very comfortable. Bathroom very clean and spacious.Temperature controlled room, which made it amazing when it was rather warm when we had come back later on. Definately recommend! ❤️ "
"Es war einfach wunderbar. Sehr stilvoll eingerichtet, grosses und gepflegtes Zimmer und Bad mit grosser Dusche. Sehr viel Ablagefläche im Bad und wohlriechende Pflegeprodukte. Das Doppelbett war sehr, sehr bequem und das Hotel sehr ruhig, so dass ich wunderbar schlief.
Das Frühstück konnte am Vortag ausgewählt werden. Das „english breakfast“ wurde dann frisch zubereitet und war einfach wunderbar. Der junge Mann sehr zuvorkommend und sehr motiviert und freundlich. Es hat mir sehr gut gefallen...

"It’s a lovely hotel and very convenient stop. The staff were super friendly and helpful.
We only had breakfast but it was delicious and plenty of it. The decor was lovely but needed a bit of tidying and the vase on the table needed a clean. I’m not keen on fake flowers which gather dust and the winter sun shows the glass vase needing a polish.
I’m being picky hoping I’m being helpful. It was a fab stay and I thoroughly recommend it and would stay again. "

"Wonderful location and setting. The hotel leans into it's historic location. Beautiful flowers adorning the building make it even more impressive. Very comfortable rooms, excellent breakfasts and friendly staff. Very accessible for activities in the area."
