"great views, but many stairs"

"Staying overnight at Mont st Michel was a once in a lifetime experience. I would not advise staying on the island to those who are not able to physically climb a whole lot of stairs, those who are heat intolerant (if the weather forecasts a heatwave) or to those who do not enjoy shuttle buses. Not only are there a lot of stairs to get to the hotel, our hotel had no elevator to our 3rd or 4th floor room. This is typical for much of Europe but would be excessive for someone with any health...

"There are definitely some things to like about the property - while not in the center of town it was a close enough walk to restaurants/shops. Parking is close by and free. Breakfast was good, especially liked the basket of bread/croissants set on the table each morning. Their coffee/latte/espresso machine will satisfy your caffeine fix. Was not in love with the family studio room, very early 1990's Ikea type furniture, bare bones decor. It reminded me of the kind of room you get when you're in...

"Very friendly receptionist on arrival, we were able to get into our room early. Breakfast was good and very easy access into centre of town and to the train station."

"The breakfast was disappointing for the price point charged. The room and bathroom were nice sized; the bed was uncomfortable. The pillows were not good quality as well. There was great air conditioning but the blanket provided retained your body heat; we were very comfy when we went to bed but very hot starting about three hours after going to sleep."

"We reserved 2 rooms and both rooms smell like a septic tank. Room 103 in the shower all you could get was extremely hot water which made it hard to take a shower and there was no heat in the bedroom so the second day was cold and without the heat I had to wear a jacket to bed. "We stayed for 5 nights in a Junior suite. The hotel staff were nice, and very helpful. When I said I was travelling with 2 motorbikes, they were able to reserve me a covered parking space in their courtyard for the duration of my stay. The exterior looks rustic, but the interior was modern. It is quiet as it is set off the main road. The room was comfortable and nicely decorated, also there was a seperate shower room and toilet. "Super small toilet where you can hardly sit. The host is not very nice and comes over as if he has an attitude problem. Breakfast is served only from 9 am until 9.45 am. That's a bad joke. "
