"Wouldn’t class this as a 4 star hotel.. it’s not only very out dated but just not clean or well kept at all. The bathroom is full of mould and dirt in all the corners, changing rooms for the spas are similar. Sauna has bugs crawling around it - not sure how they were alive in that heat. Someone must have had afternoon tea on the pool side room and this didn’t get tidied up for 3 hours.. not the best impression to be staring at a table of dirty dishes. Same in the restaurant and bar area -...

"What a lovely room at the top of a pub. Beautifully presented and pristine and lots of space although steep steps. There are a few quirks as to be expected in an old building but that didn’t put us off as we ourselves live in an old property. Communication was very good. Thank you for having us 😊"

"The expression ’hidden gem’ suits this property. Great staff who genuinely make you feel welcome. Comfy bed where I got an Apple PB 100% sleep score. Breakfast in the new room is wonderful too. Bar upgrade is due later this year which will make the Dragon hands down the best place to stay in Crickhowell hands down"

The lady at the reception was very kind to me and helped me when there was an issue with the booking as Expedia had not sent the booking through properly and she still managed to find me a room.
