"The road house needs a good make over and a lot of money spent on it, couldn’t turn on cold water tap in the bathroom, the kettle was too big to go under the tap in the sink so filled kettle using a mug, lots of linen bags lying around the stairs area. It is conveniently located in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park making it ideal to get out and about either walking, hiking, and cycling in the surrounding area. "Exceptional 3 star hotel, evening meal menu excellent value (3 courses £30) and the food was really very good. We drove with with a dog and there was no surcharges for car or pet. We could eat in the lounge area with the dog. Room was a good size and very comfortable and clean Staff were friendly and helpful We will definitely stay here again"

"A really lovely place to stay. Convenient with car parking to the rear of the hotel. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Stayed in the main hotel this time and the room was really comfortable and quiet. A few stairs to navigate but all worth it. Would definitely recommend."

"The hotel is situated in beautiful surroundings and we were lucky to be given a stone cottage apartment with outside decking overlooking the pond and grounds. Beautiful! The staff were all very pleasant but overstretched and and quite stressed at times. Breakfast was good but didn't run smoothly. "Beautiful large country house in spectacular surroundings with a fantastic welcome from the gentleman at reception who couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful! A brilliant start! The room was cosy and had everything one would expect and the shower was great too! The decor was so smart and well-suited to the rest of the property. We were lucky enough to be situated in the coach house on the ground floor so we had some French doors on to a patio table and chairs which was great to relax on...
