"We recently stayed at Alkasr Sahl Hasheesh and had a great experience overall. The hotel is still quite new, so everything feels very modern, fresh, and clean. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and well maintained throughout our stay. The food quality was very good for an all inclusive resort, with a good variety and several restaurants to choose from. The beach is large, clean, and very relaxing. The gym was another highlight — well equipped with a great range of machines. A special thank you to Martena at the gym who was always very helpful. What really stood out most was the staff. Everyone was extremely attentive and genuinely did their best to resolve any issues quickly and make sure guests were comfortable and enjoying their stay. Special mentions to: • Yasser, the food director • Mahmoud supervisor in flavors restaurant • Atef, who looked after our room every day • David and the whole reception and reception bar team Their service and friendliness really made a difference. The only small improvement would be for the pools to be a little warmer, but overall we had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend this hotel."

"An excellent hotel, with many facilities. Extremely clean and pleasant appearance, and excellent, welcoming staff. Reception very welcoming and efficient on arrival, and checkin very quick.We were given a room change at our request, and with availability of rooms with our preferred view, we were very quickly accommodated and assisted to move rooms to our preferred side of the hotel, giving ourselves and son rooms on the same floor and vicinity. Nothing otherwise wrong with the room. Buffet breakfast had plentiful choice, food was fresh and well presented. Sports bar good but air conditioning too harsh for us and others. Staff pleasant and helpful, and thank you to Asmaa our room attendant who kept our room immaculately clean and tidy throughout our stay. Always pleasant smiling and welcoming. Also a big thank you to Gloria, Guest Relations Manager who helped to make our stay such a good experience, and ensured that our stay was as good as it possibly could be, ensuring that any issues were dealt with quickly and effectively. This was our second stay at this hotel snd I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone, especially those like ourselves who were only staying for a short visit. It was a haven for relief from the noise, hustle and bustle of the busy city, and it is very easy and inexpensive to take taxis to anywhere within the city. We stayed on the fourth floor overlooking the pool, and couldn’t hear the planes at all, and would definitely stay there again."

"The Sofitel Hotel Cairo Downtown Nile was absolutely exceptional and exceeded every expectation I had. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed, valued, and genuinely cared for. The staff is truly outstanding — professional, warm, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile. Every interaction felt thoughtful, and they made sure my every need was met throughout my stay. The hotel has an older charm and boutique appeal that makes it feel special, warm, and intimate. It is elegant without feeling cold or impersonal. Honestly, the hotel feels like a warm hug. After long days of exploring Cairo, it was such a comfort to return to a place that felt safe, relaxing, and welcoming. One moment that really stood out was when one of the bellmen made sure my tour guide had arrived at the correct hotel before I went out alone. That may seem like a small gesture, but it meant so much to me and showed the genuine care the staff has for their guests’ safety and comfort. The amenities also made the stay even better. We visited the spa, and it was wonderful — the perfect way to relax and unwind. Having a bank inside the hotel was incredibly convenient and made it easy to access cash when needed. We ordered room service, and the food was delivered quickly and efficiently. The staff even set up a beautiful table so I could truly enjoy my meal, which was such a lovely touch. The food and drinks were also a highlight. My sister loved their cosmos, and the bartender personally came over"

"The food is very good, abundant and large variety. We spent majority of time in main dining room and the beach restaurant for lunch, to stay close to the beach. The animation team were fun and dynamic. Facility is clean. The front desk seemed chaotic and disorganized. Initial check in was uninformative about the resort and amenities. We had to inquire for a map and figure it out. No introduction about the facility. Other than the initial reception, everything was great!"

"My family and I had a lovely time staying at this hotel. It is very convenient as it is so close to the Cairo Airport. The staff were very kind and welcoming as soon as we arrived. The breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of food choices, the views were beautiful and the rooms were always spotless because of the awesome housekeeping. Would definitely recommend if you are in Cairo!"

"A well kept property with plenty of public spaces. They don't accept Amex despite advertising that they do and you have to pay for the stay at check-in, as opposed to leaving a credit card pre-authorisation, which means you need to settle any charges separately with another transaction. I got both the room upgrade and $25 Gold Member credit at check-in"
