"Lovely hotel in great surrounding. Fab infinity pool for Insta worthy pics. The food at the hotel was outstanding and by far the best buffets we had during our trip to Sri Lanka and definitely the best hoppers. The hotel is built into a rock. Some areas felt a little dated in decor and check in was a bit slow but this could be due to the large numbers of people staying at the hotel. The hotels location in the Kandy hills is perfect. Just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the town centre but close enough to walk down to the lake."

"Lovely beautifully preserved period colonial property. Staff very good. Restaurants excellent - large breakfast buffet, afternoon tea fantastic and had two very good meals at the Indian and Thai restaurants. There is one thing that really lets it down though and that is the loud music played during afternoon tea by a flautist to a backing soundtrack and the live band in the bar at night. In my opinion both overly loud and really impact the ambience. "
