"Beautiful property with wonderful staff and best food we had on the island. Loved the excursions and hikes on offer. Special mention to the organic farm they have, we enjoyed a tour and all our meals sourced ingredients from right on site. Location was close enough to Kandy for sightseeing but much nicer to be away from the city and surrounding by nature and the mountain view. Especially from the spa pool!! Highly recommend"

"Do not deal with this lodge. We originally booked 2 nights. Due to terrible circumstances in Sri Lanka, we couldn’t make it on the first night due to flooding and access to the lodge. The next day, the lodge told us again not to go there as it was still not clear and unsafe. Therefore, I requested a refund like the day before because it wasn’t our choice not to visit, but the lodge. Since this, there has been no reply to emails or refund requests to explain. Terrible. "

"It is my second stay at Galavilla. I love this place so much. I was happy that the hotel is well developt. I feel as a home. The morning view form the room is realy breathtaking. The hotel is open around 5 years but still everythings is as new.I never see it in another hotels in Sri Lanka. I can recomend everyone who like nature and relax."

"The place was absolutely beautiful. Our room had stunning views and the facilities overall were excellent, new and very well maintained. The food was great, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We also did a trekking tour organized by them, which turned out to be a wonderful experience. "It is a lovely property ans breakfaat spread is quite large. Staff are friendly byt could be better trained on small nuances. The last who checked us in vaguely indicated the direction of the room and we spent 10 minuted walki g up and down searching for it. When we asked for a la carte food options other than the I.suan restaurant they have, ot took me 20 minutes to get the front desk to admit that a la carte foid could be ordered at tje lounge bar as well.
