"Umaya is a great place to stay if you want to just relax. The food options are limited but they do have a good dinner. The down side is that it is far from the main village of placencia and they only offer two times of free transport otherwise you have to pay. Rooms were clean and spacious…we love how our room was right off the beach and pool."

"The casino next door had the bass blaring until 1am. The the patrons gather in the courtyard after closing for the next hour. When the casino was closed ,the staff of the hotel partied until done. I was originally assigned a dorm room but because the wifi wasn't working. And the pool was not functioning as well. Not a good experience for my first visit. Don't send anyone else there. Pleasr "

"Ambergris is awesome and WSC made it even more awesome!! Terri the office manager was extremely accommodating and professional, she told us exactly where to go and what to do. The bartender Ruth was a total sweetheart and made the BEST Rum Punch on the island! The grounds were well kept and the rooms very tidy, everyday we came back to a clean room.
