"The dining options nailed it and a cozy bed! Friendly staff too. Especially at the dining area, mad respect to the guy who served as tea. He was so polite and respectful. Affordable place for a short stay. I highly recommend. "
"Lovely clean and comfortable room. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff member. Well equipped with plenty of power points and extras for a pleasant stay. Would happily book again. "
"Best hotel bed i have stayed in! It was just so comfortable. Very clean rooms. Food in the hotel is fab, and HUGE portions. Will definately be back! "
"Lovely clean hotel, room was bright and clean, shower could be better with a booster pump, breakfast to die for fab choices! The only improvement would be a bar in main lounge so you could have a wee nightcap before bed!! Otherwise a lovely clean and welcoming hotel with amazing staff!!"
"Hotel, even without breakfast service, is lovely. Kitchen available to use. While walking I explored slightly further afield and discovered a little cafe on the beach and the stunning old Heysham Village. I heartily recommend staying at this hotel. Owner very helpful. "

"The property is a lovely place that has kept its unique original features. The Victorian facades and interior are refreshingly maintained. The staff are all very welcoming and genuinely friendly. Well located in a rural spot but 5 minutes walk into town, via the sea front promenade."
"Beautiful building and property. Spacious rooms with decent wifi, fridge, fan and comfortable chairs and bed. Good restaurant in the building too. Enjoyed the critters in the yard: cats, peacocks, Guinea hens, chickens, geese, and scrunchy faced pigs. Would have loved to have stayed longer. "
"We stayed here over the Aug 2025 bank holiday weekend and would definitely recommend this place to stay.
The location is ideal - situated on a quiet street and very short walking distance to explore Bowness. The garden at the front of the property is beautiful. We stayed in The Boat House suite which was very spacious and pleasantly decorated.
David & Jenny were extremely hospitable and delivered us a generous breakfast hamper each morning (home made preserves a lovely touch) and were very...
