Lovely couple of nights at the Hideaway. Fantastic breakfast and great service. Owner very helpful with recommendations for a restaurant for our anniversary.
There was a large car park and a lovely garden. The house is tucked away in a quiet part of Windermere but you can walk into town in 5-10 minutes. The choice at breakfast was great and the food was delicious. Very friendly and professional staff- could thoroughly recommend
Enjoyed a great 3 night stay at the Hideaway. This is a true Bed & Breakfast. Our bed was comfortable and our private bath had been nicely modernized with helpful shelves and racks. The breakfasts were prepared to order from a balanced menu. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. Due to the rain we did not get to enjoy the outside sitting area but it looked inviting. The bedroom itself was a bit tight, but we had small roller bags so we were able to situate everything - would have been more challenging if we had larger suitcases. The location was a 5 - 10 minute walk from the train / bus station and a short walk to shops and restaurants. We would recommend the Hideaway.
As a couple, Mini room perfect for our requirements, stayed for 5 nights ample storage and cosy. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Exceptional breakfast , all first class ingredients and additional home made cakes a nice touch . Plenty of on site parking, able to leave car and walk to Windemere main street under 10 minutes. Would happily return to the Hideaway and pleased to recommend to others .
The hotel is in an excellent location, close to town, close to Orrest head walk with stunning views and only 30min walk to the lake which saved us parking charges. Plenty of parking at the property, Room was very clean. The breakfast was 10/10. Overall excellent value for money.
The Hideaway is a family run hotel with fantastic facilities, great meals to select from at breakfast and the personal touch you get from the staff members are second to none.
Safe and quiet environment close to the heart of Windermere with free parking, and just a walking distance to the Lake and all the restaurants around.
Very happy people, thank you for taking care of us.
The hotel is on a quiet lane close to the high street in Windermere. It is run by people who are obviously very experienced in hospitality and clearly responsive to what their guests require. The staff are friendly and helpful. The property is attractive and well maintained, also with a lovely garden where guests can sit. Our room was recently decorated, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The breakfast had varied choices which were nicely prepared and presented. There is a good sized car park and it's about 10 minutes walk from the station. A number of eating and drinking options within a few minutes walk.
We had a lovely two night stay here. Room 2 had a very comfortable bed, and the roll-top bath in this room was a real treat. Tea and coffee making facilities had everything we needed, the breakfast was sumptuous, with lots to choose from. There is plenty of car-parking right outside the front door, and the whole building is very attractive and in the local Lakeland style. There is a lovely garden to sit in when the weather is fine. The village is easily walkable in 5-10 mins and Bowness is only another mile further on. There are plenty of restaurants and bars to eat in locally. All of the team were lovely, friendly and accommodating. A great place to stay!
