"Excellent location, right next to the Minster. Lovely hotel, though it has the tiniest lift you've ever seen! Surprisingly noisy most of the night - from chatting smokers under the room window, to loud drunks, to 4am road cleaning, to 5am bin emptying. But it's a city. That's how things are."

"A good stay as always, some areas where very hot as heating was on but we were able to switch this off in our room. We had a fire alarm go off on Friday evening but staff were prompt to evacuate and well organized. "

"Lobby area clean, tidy and modern as was the room. Surrounding area outside also scrupulously clean. I was a bit concerned about staying in a motorway services , but this hotel is a delight. "

"The hotel is wonderfully located in a beautiful old building. The bar area is very comfortably and the rooms are nice and bright, having had a refurb in the recent past. The staff are hit and miss, some are absolutely lovely, caring and helpful, others treat you like you’re in the way, which is a shame. The rooms have an iron and ironing board, kettle and basic toiletries."

"Perfect hotel all around. Perfect spot a 2 minute walk from the city. The rooms were clean and they added a note on the mirror as we was away for my Girlfriend’s birthday wishing her a happy birthday which we thought was a great touch. The grab and go section was perfect with free pot noodles and crisps and drinks to take to the room. 100% will come again"
