"One of the most spacious, comfortable, and well appointed rooms we have stayed at. While in an historic Inn, the room was large and pleasant. Literally steps from the Cathedral and most historic points of interest, food and shopping. The dinner was also of exceptional quality. "
"We stayed for one night. Lovely lady on reception, polite, efficient and friendly. Beautiful room (we were given an upgrade), very spacious, clean, comfortable bed. Plenty of choice with tea, coffee, biscuits etc.
The toiletries were good quality. Lovely big bathroom.
The room was mega hot but there was a great fan so no problem. Would recommend. Great location too."
"The property was basic, as expected, but the host's behavior was shockingly unprofessional and erratic. After honestly correcting a simple booking mistake (one guest instead of two) and promptly offering payment, the host initially seemed polite but slow to respond.
Things turned serious when I accidentally locked myself out of the bedroom—without shoes or phone—and urgently contacted him via my smartwatch. He claimed he'd arrive in an hour but vanished for hours, ignoring multiple calls....

"Det var eit flott hotell med stor lobby og store rom. Alt var reint og fint. Det var tradisjonell engelsk frukost med litt pålegg og utvalg av frukt og yoghurt i tillegg. Det var også litt søtt bakverk for dei som liker det. Restauranten tilbaud og middag, men det hadde ikkje me. Hotellet ligg 5-7 minutt frå sentrum av Winchester med taxi eller buss. Bussen går to gonger i timen på dagtid og èin gong i timen på kveldstid og i helger. Busstoppen er berre eit par minutt frå hotellet. Èin kan òg ta...
"Lovely hotel, with friendly helpful staff, lovely clean and attractive rooms and comfy bed. The only downside was no fridge in the room to keep our water and juice cold and as it was a very hot weekend it meant the bottles they supplied and supplies we took quickly got warm; although not sure where they would fit one in our room 🤔…."
