Fantastic view of the cathedral from our room. However the room and hotel were a little tired. There were cracked tiles on the bathroom floor, and the bathroom light switch was in a dangerous condition…arcing at the slightest touch. There never appeared to be any staff available and the buffet breakfast…well, don’t bother paying for it! You can get a fabulous breakfast at one of the many cafes available nearby!

The view of Winchester Cathedral from my bedroom was amazing. All of the staff were extremely helpful and positive including promptly resolving air temperature issues in my room. The room was spotlessly clean. But the room felt rather tired with scratched and battered furniture and a dated bathroom. The decor in the bar and restaurant did not reflect the historic location of the building and seemed very generic and unimaginative

The hotel was extremely dog friendly my sausage dog, Warfie was adored by all the staff. The staff made our stay very special. We booked a further 4 weekly stays because everything was perfect. The manager and Nicki were very helpful on this. This really home from home. We felt so welcome.
