"When we arrived at Hotel Le Chat with our 17 year old, we were shocked. The hotel entrance sits next to XXX adult stores. The elevator sounded as if it hadn’t been maintenanced in years. The man at the front desk seemed agitated to have to deal with anyone. We booked two rooms. When we entered the room it was dark, small and smelled horrible as if the toilet was broken. I began looking at reviews on other sites and saw recent reviews of theft of a watch by hotel staff and that was enough for me to book another hotel and leave immediately. When I attempted to check out and explained the room was not as described. He told me have Expedia call me. It has been over a week and hotels.com said they have received no response. I never write reviews but after my experience I felt compelled to do so. I hope my review prevents someone from having the horrible experience at Hotel Le Chat Noir that we had. "

"The hotel was absolutely lovely, local area is one of my favourites in the city and the staff were amazing. The only thing was that the hotel is currently under renovations so there were small changes (portable heaters in rooms and physical keys rather than key cards) that were obviously outwith the hotel’s control- overall i’d recommend! merci beaucoup!!"

"The room was very small…even by European standards. Could not easily walk around the bed. Toilet was in separate space (within the room) than sink and shower. Breakfasts, was minimal. Did not have ice available all the time and would only give you to or 3 cubes at a time. Overall, I would not choose this hotel again. "
