"Ein wunderschönes, liebevoll gepflegtes Weingut mit großzügigen, geschmackvoll eingerichteten Zimmern. Der Ausblick auf die Weinberge ist grandios. Das Restaurant bietet eine kleine feine Karte und wir haben sehr gut gegessen. Das Weintasting hatten wir leider verpasst, da wir nur eine Nacht auf der Durchreise waren. "I can't say enough good things about our stay. The staff was phenomenal. So very welcoming and helpful with ideas for spending our time in Franschhoek. Our room was beautiful, large and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with many choices. The location is in town within walking distance to many shops, restaurants and the wine tram. Highly recommend Avondrood Guest House."

"We had a wonderful 3 nights stay. Beautiful surroundings and a lovely setting at the restaurant to enjoy a delicious breakfast. Our room was large with a lovely bathroom. It was quiet and cool so barely needed to use the AC. But what made it such a wonderful place to stay were the amazing staff, who were so friendly and helpful they truly made our stay very special. Can’t wait to stay again. "

"Had a Marvellous time - The staff make you so welcome and everything is catered for excellently- from breakfast to assisting with dinner reservations, places to see, the owner even went to get a razor and shaving cream from the local shop as I had forgotten mine, Champagne for our anniversary - I can not recommend this place enough it’s a place of tranquility and splendour."
