The property especially lends itself well for weddings or other special gathering event. It is less ideal as a lodging choice, as the rooms are quite vintage, though charming. "Gorgeous estate about an hour from Capetown. Top of the line amenities, lodging and excellent restaurants. Sunset views, vineyards and mountains. Staff was very well trained and no nickel and diming . Quiet and peaceful stay after a few hectic days in Capetown. Highly recommend. "

"Fantastic hotel in a great location in Stellenbosch within walking distance to restaurants and bars. Staff were a pleasure and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. A real shame that there was major building work going on at the property next to this one as it did mean we couldn't really enjoy our balcony or the pool area as it was so noisy - it would have been good to have been advised of this in advance of the stay. Breakfast was delicious and overall we would recommend - if we were...
