This hotel is away from the main town but offers a shuttle several times through the day and it is only a 10 minute ride highly recommend taking a ferry to the island in the middle of Lake Toya. "This place was our (group of 3) favorite during our travels to Hokkaido. It was much cozier than the pictures convey and the sauna was a welcome luxury after skiing and very snowy days. It was majestic to be able to walk to Ukimido Pagoda on a moody weather day, then come back to our cozy lodge. It was so helpful to have a washer/dryer and plenty of drying rack space near the heater. There were many good restaurants just 20 minutes from the lodge near the south side of the lake.
