"I very much enjoyed my stay at this little gem in the beautiful Onsen town of Yudanaka in the mountains. This ryokan is owned by an older Japanese couple. It had a private Onsen on site, so if you are not comfortable with the idea of using a public Onsen, I recommend this ryokan for you. Do keep in mind, this is an old building and is not a flashy or fancy place by any means. My stay here was very comfortable, and it feels very homey and safe here. This place is located very conveniently near...
"Impeccably clean, nice hot onsen, super helpful front desk. Cozy comfy beds. We don’t try the food but we will next time because it smelled delicious. *expedia site is WRONG - it’s not a 3 minute walk to ski resort - It’s a 30 min drive."
"Location is good, opposite is the ski resort, which has good snow. Overall room was well maintained, public Onsen was nice too. However we came during early ski season, there is barely any restaurants opens. Hotel cafe food is a bit expensive, and not much choice (mainly western). If plan to stay may order half board instead, or tell hotel staff to reserve dinner before 10am"
